Experiments
in distribution.
Labs is the side of the studio with no clients and no rules. We build unauthorized prototypes for the formats we believe should already exist, then bring what we learn back to the client work.
IMV is a music video platform for the independent era — a high-fidelity home for visual releases that doesn't punish artists for not signing to a major label. Built around discoverability, raw fidelity and direct creator monetization, IMV is our answer to the centralized status quo of music video distribution.
Why does music video distribution still feel like 2009?
Music video has quietly become a major-label corridor again. Vevo and the algorithmic mush around it reward catalog scale, not the independent artist with a sharp visual and no distributor. We wanted a home for the release that doesn't fit a TikTok grid — long-form, high-fidelity, authored.
We set ourselves a hard problem: design a video platform that an unsigned artist or signed artist can publish to on a Friday and actually have a chance of being discovered by Monday.
Strip the player. Hand the surface back.
IMV is built on three ideas that shaped every screen: artist-owned channels with no playlist gatekeeper, a player tuned for full-bleed visual fidelity, and a discovery feed that ranks by watch-completion not click-through. The product looks editorial because the goal is to feel like a magazine cover, not a search result.
- Artist-first channel pages with cover-art-grade hero treatments.
- Adaptive 4K HDR pipeline tuned for color-graded music video. (Coming soon)
- Discovery ranked by completion and re-watch, not raw clicks.
- Direct monetization — tips, merch and unlocks on the channel itself. (Coming soon)
Pre-launch. Building the foundation.
IMV is currently in active development with no public users yet. We're building the core platform — artist channels, discovery feed, and the playback experience — before opening access. Numbers will follow the product.
Public beta, Q3 2026.
We're opening artist signups for the public beta and rolling out a curated launch programme for ten visual-led releases. If you're an artist, a label A&R, or a director with a video that deserves better than a TikTok pre-roll — talk to us.
